All you Scentsy lovers know that cleaning out the warmers to change scents is not always an easy thing and let’s be honest is a real pain in the neck. So what’s the best way to do it? Let’s find out.
One way I’ve been told to clean mine by my local Scentsy consultant is to melt the wax down and then dump in the trash and wipe out the bowl. This way is pretty easy, however the bowl does get rather hot. That’s not always fun to touch.
The second way that is common is to use a butter knife and cut around the edge of the bowl and pop it out this way. But to be honest this way rarely works for me. I end up taking huge chunks out of the wax but it stays put. Cleaning up the hard wax out of the bowl is however a little easier then cleaning up the melted wax. But this is still a pain in the neck.
This new way is pretty cool. First you melt the wax in the bowl. Then you put a cotton ball in the melted wax. The cotton ball will soak up the melted wax. Then you throw the cotton ball in the trash. Then use another cotton ball to clean up all the rest of the wax and throw it away. I will say that it does work better with the Scentsy night light or plug-in. It takes two or three cotton balls to soak up all wax from a normal warmer. But with the night lights it works perfectly.
So all in all the ways I would suggest to clean your warmers would to melt the wax and go from there. Whether you use a cotton ball or dump it in the trash that is up to you. If you have anymore questions contact your local Scentsy consultant.
