I am so excited to announce that Scentsy was awarded the Rising Star Award at the 2009 Direct Selling Association meeting in Washington, DC on June 2, 2009. The Rising Star Award “...honors up-and-coming direct selling companies that have dedicated themselves to achieving a high standard of excellence in business operations.” The single company to be awarded the Rising Star had to be less than five years old and show growth, sustainability, commitment and ethical business practices.
In five short years, we have achieved recognition from our peers in the industry – all while maintaining our unique sense of family and total commitment to our virtues of simplicity, authenticity and value. In our mission statement we affirm our expectation to be an “… industry-leading, family friendly business opportunity.” This award signifies that our peers recognize Scentsy as an industry-leading company. However, the ability to bless my family, develop lifelong relationships, and watch those I’ve come to love like family bless the lives of those they touch is a much more important accomplishment.
While peer recognition is appreciated and valued, what matters most is whether or not each of you can participate in the Rising Star. If Scentsy as a company is the only Rising Star, we have failed.
